Refund Policy
At HostMinty, we prioritize customer satisfaction while adhering to legal obligations under Indian laws. This refund policy has been designed to ensure transparency and fairness, keeping in line with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and other applicable laws.
1. Domain & IP Services: No Refund Policy
1.1 Non-Refundable Services
- Refunds are not applicable to Domain Registrations, Renewals, Transfers, and IP Services (including Dedicated IPs).
- Transactions for these services are final due to their irreversible nature and costs incurred by registrars or providers.
1.2 Customer Advisory
- Customers are advised to thoroughly review domain and IP service requirements before making a purchase.
2. Other Products and Services: T+2 Refund Policy
2.1 Refund Window
- Refunds for other eligible products and services can be requested within 2 days (48 hours) from the time of purchase.
2.2 Eligibility Conditions
- Refunds are only applicable if:
- The service has not been fully utilized, activated, or consumed.
- No extensive usage or customization (e.g., website uploads, database creation) has occurred.
2.3 Ineligibility
- Services with significant usage, including technical support or activation of add-ons, will not qualify for refunds.
2.4 Request Process
- Refund requests must be submitted via email to billing@hostminty.in within 48 hours of purchase. Each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
2.5 Refund Disbursement
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days upon approval.
3. Exclusions
Certain products and services are non-refundable, including but not limited to:
- Domain name registrations, renewals, and transfers
- SSL Certificates once issued
- Professional Web Services, including marketing or design services
- Cloud server plans and premium templates
- Promotional or discounted products and services
- Any third-party services or fees, including ICANN fees
4. Exceptions to Refund Policy
4.1 Trial Services
- Services purchased on a trial basis are non-refundable if utilized during the trial period.
4.2 Custom or Non-Refundable Services
- Custom configurations, setup fees, and other non-refundable services are exempt from refunds. These exceptions are explicitly mentioned at the time of purchase.
4.3 Chargeback Disputes
- Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute may result in the suspension or termination of services. Additional penalties or fees may apply.
5. Refund Processing Timeline
5.1 Standard Timeline
- Refund requests, once approved, will be processed within 7 business days.
5.2 Communication
- Customers will be notified of the refund status via email.
6. Legal Compliance
6.1 Consumer Protection Act, 2019
- HostMinty ensures compliance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including handling grievances related to defective or deficient services under Section 2(10).
6.2 Information Technology Act, 2000
- Refund policies for digital services are aligned with the IT Act, 2000, considering delivery timelines and product usage at the time of refund requests.
6.3 Tax Compliance
- Refunds will not include non-refundable statutory fees (e.g., GST or ICANN fees), as mandated by Indian tax laws.
7. Grievance Redressal Mechanism
7.1 Escalation Process
- Customers can escalate unresolved refund requests to the Grievance Officer at legal@hostminty.in.
7.2 Consumer Dispute Redressal
- If unsatisfied, customers may file complaints with the relevant Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
